Fabrics and Prints
Most fabrics will already be selected based on what you order. For example, all burp cloths are lined in chenille, however, you will need to specify the color you want if you want a color other than off white. I may as you to specify if you want stretch cotton or not, but usually the print you choose will determine the fabric.
Prints can be selected off of my remnants section, or you can request a specific print from a fabric store website. If you are unsure what you want, a brief description of what you are looking for would be sufficient, and I will find fabric and run them by you for a final OK.
Chenille- Soft, almost towel like fabric used for lining products. Easy to clean. Comes in most colors
Micro- Suede- Used as the sole to shoes and booties. Softer than leather, but similar in appearance. Comes in beige, browns, tan, black
Flannel- Used for most of my boutique items, comes in a large variety of colors and prints. Less expensive, soft, and easy to use.
Cotton- Most fabrics are made from cotton. These are easy to sew, washable, and less expensive than other fabrics.
Stretch Cotton- Like above, only used on products that are meant to stretch. For example, best on car seat covers, swaddlers, and towels/ burp cloths.
Fleece- More expensive, but much softer than most fabric. Used on most swaddlers.
Micro-Fleece- Slightly more expensive than regular fleece, but softer still.
Corduroy- Makes for a trendy looking bootie, and more durable than other materials.
(Will use leather, silk, and other non typical fabrics, but they are more difficult to sew and are generally more expensive to buy, therefore the cost will go up considerably.)
